Thought I'd introduce myself rather than lurk longer. Lacking a Chester forum I thought I'd join this... Been fixed for getting on for six months now, ever since I acquired an old Colnago track bike. This one - though its now got straight-bladed chromed Colnago road forks courtesy of a FGG poster

hi
nice frame and huge front cog no hills in chester then
-
• #105
53-tooth, though I swapped that 16 for a 19 sprocket when I replaced the sprints with Ambrosio clinchers. But no, not many hills if one stays this side of the Welsh border, more rolling countryside - fast down, fast up...

hello mate, that is a sweet colnago.

i realised that i've been posting for nearly three weeks and haven't introduced myself!
My name is Tom, I'm a student from Basingstoke. I know that the forum is mainly aimed at london riders, but I am moving to London in September for uni plus there aren't any other fixed/ss forums, that i've discovered, as good as this.
I ride a cotic roadrat, currently set up as a singlespeed. As soon as I have the cash in a couple of weeks, going fixed :) Wouldn't mind a old track frame, too.

Have fun with that eeehhhh, I'm just finishing my chemistry degree in Durham, about halfway through I started wishing I'd accepted my offers from UCL or Imperial.
If you're in the market for any second hand books let me know, I've got the OUP's holy trinity and a 'Maths for Chemists' text, practically unread, naturally...

looks for shotgun :-P[/quote]Come on man.. I can't even draw stick-figures and this lass has drawn stickers to go on her hand-built frame!
Besides, I use that Comic font all the time. It's only surpassed by my use of those rarities known as Times New Roman and Arial hehe :P -
