uh - most ugly and polluted part of Italy, the Po valley between Milan and Venice. I guess the back roads may be nice, but the highway is certainly boring. All flat though.

lol the ugliest part is going towards france, after about 50k from Milan it starts getting nice, lake Garda, Verona, canals and small rivers, Alps then Dolomites at the horizon.
bout the pollution it's kind of true but you might want to make a note about the fact that that's possibly the only part of italy that has some work going on therefore industrial activity, last year apparently they visited some legendary frame bulder in Verona.
MOst definately is going to be back roads maybe costing the canals or rivers i'll find out then decide.

I think these guys take it easy, last year they did it in 3 days but it's july and it's italy so it's gonna be HOT!
