vegandontneedgears - buy a Hozan lockring tool. Works on both BB and lockrings. Worth the money. Had one for five years, used heavily, not broken yet.
Hubjub and others carry them. A wee bit pricey here. If you want to get really flash then the Hozan lockring pliers are the jam.
