Yep. Infact, i do engineering and they have a lathe down there. I think that i can put it on the lathe, and get a sanding tool to just take 1/10mm off (that is, after measuring how much to take off with vernier calipers, o' course).
Is it a quill stem or the other type? -

Obviously these CHROME bags were made for couriers or anyone riding a bike in the city, to carry stuff around with a very practical side to its design. I used to be a courier and that s when I got mine, i kept it as I believe it s good, as a designer I find that it has very well made components, I am not pretending to be a courier because I m wearing one (fakenger), I m just riding around 24/7 365 days a year and they are suitable for it. Does it mean that because you are not a courier you can t wear, use and be proud of your "messenger bag'... I don t think so! No offends to anyone... Keep it rollin'

used an Eastpak rucksack for long time but it sweated up my back like a mofo! plus it wasn't big enough.
My newly acquired Chrome is the nuts. Loadsa space and v.comfortable.
Definitely a case of Function over Form.edit just realised this should be on another thread shouldn' t it?

My new bike.
had enough of pratting around with road conversions, i wanted something light and fast with a high bb.
fuck me, it's fun. Skidtastic!
not cool though:
open pros instead of velocity
goldtec instead of phil
stem off an old mountain bike, bars with tape on given to me by a mate (the wrong sort of bars too)
brooks
EAI cog
cheap everything else.
46x17 for now in a very un-cool 3/32It's a work bike to be used every day, it might as well be a hoot to ride!
