  • Use a fine grade Wet/dry paper depending on thickness of coat. 600 grade for thicker, 800 or 1200 for thinner coat. Use it wet and when the clearcoat wears through to the paint the residue should become the colour of the paint. Stop here and go to a finer grade to get the thinner surrounding clearcoat parts off. It is very time consuming and if I remember correctly the powdercoat should be re-laquered. Both 31trum and RPM are not wrong with their elbow grease tip.
