My fave insult for black cabs has something to do with them being glamorized minicab drivers. Though they can retaliate by calling me a glamorized postman... Can't win so just kick the door in!

I honestly find black cabbies the easiest to deal with on the road. Most of them actually do know what they're doing. Royal mail post drivers are the absolute worst! I have intintionally caused damage to one of their vans, not that it was deserved but what was deserved I wouldn't be able to deliver with a clear concience.

As far as I see it, verbal insults are a waste of breath.

Years ago I was flying up Tottenham Court mouthing off big style to this cabbie

I love thos green huts, can get a damn good bacon sandwich at the Pont street one...they're pretty friendly to messengers there....but can't agree with tramps, i have let good few cab drivers know that they nearly ran me over the road...but they never noticed...instead got out the cab and challenged me...thinking i had done something to their cab!!!

Actually young people are the worst. Tossers in their hotted up cars, looking into their lap as they text their girlfriends, reminding them to vote for fscking Big Bruvva 29 or something.
Older but still young people with cash, ie. yuppie twats that think their black, 22" chrome-rimmed Land Rover (see HATE thread) gives them the right to the entire road (HATE thread).

Think about the percentages though. Maybe 1 out of 10 cabs 'invade my space' recklessly. While 9 out of 10 skiplorries do it and about 7 of 10 bendy buses do. Van drivers (excluding royal mail!) are about 50/50. While lately motorbikes are really doing my head in!

And I can't wait to get old!

90% of cab drivers (applies to car drivers too) have an understanding of the fact they are driving a potential killing machine and behave accordingly....it's just the bad 10% are bloody bad.

i hope i didnt offend you?? i was only joking, the only reason i said it was because where i have to get a bus, in the depths of Eltham, its infested with old people who try to beat me up because they assume i'm rude (while getting on a bus)
now i think about it they are probably right, the amount of tossers around eltham i would want to beat everyone up.
but as we are picking holes in peoples opinions, not all cabies are the same nor is anyone else, some people can drive, some people cant, some people give a shit, some people dont.i dont think is has alot to do with what they are driving its just easier to put them in a group....like old people

I agree that most cabbies know what they're doing and are pretty alert. The problem is that the ones who nearly hit you are usually doing it deliberately, which pisses me off a lot more than someone not paying attention.

Motorcycles and scooters (especially the goddam scooters) are annoying me at the moment because they are often driven by people who think they are the shit, when in fact they are total muppets.

Pedestrians are mostly lemmings, but at least if the impact is unavoidable you can drop a shoulder and hope for the best. Plus they are softer than all the other options.

for cabbies how about getting some cards printed up which read "get an office job if you want to sit on your fat arse all day, then maybe the roads will be a better place" have to smile at them whilst handing over tho...
