I bent my front rim once: running late to take the Eurostar, I had not inflated my tyres with a foot pump, but was planning to do it upon arrival in Paris. The alleycat was at 2PM in Paris, my train at 10am in London, and just after passing Blackfriars bridge at 9.30, I hit a small pothole. 2 flats in one go, bent front rim!
Ran to the train, changed and patched my tubes, arrived at 1pm in Paris, rode - ran to a shop, got my bent wheel repaired and off I went...
