I think it's me, unless someone has the double halide version (and wants to half their battery love).
The thing about going fast downhill in the dark, is that the light gives you confidence to do it. Came off of Ditchling Beacon at 40mph in the dead of night, it was awesome. I wouldn't have gone above 25mph if it wasn't for the light.
I'm not sure how a wheel hugger will manage a fast downhill unless you can ride side by side safely.
