Semi-Vertical Drop-outs

  • I'm currently looking at buying a 2nd hand TT bike that has semi-vertical drops. I'd like to convert it to fixed and I'm pretty sure that it's possible - I just wondered if anyone has any experience with them and can cast some light on how it might be done. Surly Tensioner? Half link? Filing?

The reason for our affection is that The ENO enables you to make any bike into a fix. It doesn't matter if your favoured frame has vertical dropouts.

  • As long as you have 1/2 an inch of backwards axle movement, you'll be able to use any gear you want. The eno hub will be perfect, but it is quite pricey. may need 2 use half link...
