It's not that I have any desire to copy what NYC riders get up, I don't.
I just prefer the idea of a DIY urban thing.
I don't class myself as an athlete of any kind (I tried road racing and learnt that lesson well enough, I may be zippy but I wouldn't even say I'm a good amateur), and for the same reason track racing isn't really for me, organised legit bike polo isn't either; I want a blast, with a beer or two, laughing, perhaps a beat box somewhere, something a bit dis-organised and messy.
To acknowledge the fact that we're just out for shits and giggles. To give up when we want, or play on for hours if it's going well, to hit a bar afterwards, and for it to be equidistant from everyone's home so more people are tempted by it.
