I just phoned that local place, and apparently one of their walls collapsed, so they have had to close down their business for a while...
No matter, i did some phoning around today and one place in NW london gave me a phone-quote of £40 for the whole fork, which sounds kind of reasonable (considering Mercian charge £85). That is, if the paint is already stripped. And if they charge £40 for the fork, i can't imagine both dropouts being too pricey, either!
Has anybody stripped a frame of its paint before? Anybody recommend any stripping brands?
