I've got a 70's condor track and a 90's Gitane track, both run into the ground. I keep maintenance i.e. my girlfriends bikes - on a Cougar track and a 60's holdsworth.

well up until a week ago i was riding a condor potenza until some little sherbert knicked it from Grays Inn Rd. grrrr - all black with blue eggbeaters about the only distinctive feature, but keep em peeled anyhow..
so i'm in the process of building up a beautiful old simoncini, am going pretty much italian all the way, hopefully will be on the road in a couple of weeks but in the meanime i'm back on the geared ALAN, v nice, but too many gears !

Beautiful bikes, 1981.
I am waiting (ordered in Feb) for a custom titanium fixie. Was going to be a sensible hardy commuter but while waiting I got bored & found hubjub.co.uk, now the bike has become embarrassingly overspeced. Or at least it will be when the frame arrives.
In the meantime I'm on a geared bike.

I have other bikes but this is the only one I ride nowadays.

That is a wonderful bike, it's so well balanced too with nice details. And the half-link chain looks really good on it.

Docus: Was your bike locked outside Condor today? Well I know it was 'cause I ended up late back from my lunch break as I ended up staring at it too much! It's a great bike.

• #145

Thanks for the comments, I've been building it up for a while and just love riding it.
I've swapped the Cinelli steel stem and Nitto 125 steel bars for a **MUCH **lighter 3ttt titanium stem and 3ttt alloy pista bar combo. (The 3ttt pista bars are HUGE deep things, I doubt I'll ever manage to get into the drops on them!) Also, I'm going to try my old Campag toeclips and straps instead of clipless, 'cause I've managed to rip the sole off my right cycling shoe from skidding (I think my technique is somewhat lacking.)
And yes, it was locked up to my girlfriend's SE Assassin outside Condor (wicked bike) - we were there to look at a Brompton for her! She wants a Pashley Sovereign instead now, for stately cruising...

Thought it wise to share my current bike. A conversion Paganini. It was a great road bike beforehand yet making the fixed transition was the right move. Right now I'm loving the original paintwork so the braze-ons will have to stay for a while. I like to be reminded of the transformation!
