There are a good bunch of street humps around HXT sq. Plus drunk peds. But very few cars indeed. Could be fun. Grandstand would be Blu bar (higher up).

street humps: challenge
drunk peds: hopefully not dumb enough if big enough crowd to walk on "track"
very few cars: coooool... wouldn't be too hard to get a few people to block off the entrances to the sq
grandstand: genius!now, does anyone know a pizza boy who would be the pacer?

I have a friend who is a nutter on a German-registered rusty Vespa and would do it for sure.
But we don't really need a pacer (or [ame=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Derny]Derny[/ame] as they're called) unless you're so fast that wind resistance against your camo shorts around a miniature square becomes a slowing down factor.

Bjorn? Yea, he owes me a couple but I'm in no rush to collect. But these days he's found on a Raleigh instead of a Vespa...

hey mike - bjorn is indeed loving his bicycle at the moment - we need to get him to fix his Raleigh and ditch the gears..
in fact i don't think that's a bad idea.. people will probably think it was something cool so wouldn't call the coppers
