Do those forks taper the way they appear to in that photo? I'm not normally taken by straight forks but those are lovely.
Great work on the frame btw, you must be a proud dad.

Yep. Tapered to be very narrow at the dropout. I was a bit wary when I saw the tubes but was assured theyd be ok, theyve held out so far.
Just a simple lug set and 631 tubes, shimano rear dropouts the forks are nice. Paint was by Mario Vaz.
If it ever got nicked id be distraught.......
Nice Website by the way.

about 2 hours ago! only ridden from condor to tooting so far.
it's my first road bike and i couldn't be more happy with it it, everything feels 'right' about it.
i have been riding singlespeed off road and on-road for a while, just wanted something more suitable for commuting, gears are for fat people so a fixed was the obvious answer, i don't think i will just be commuting on it though :-) -

I love Shamals... I'm so jealous of other bikes that have them.
Still, I hope my new wheels will make me happy :)
There was quite a lot of discussion on bf.net about that frame. It's actually made by a polish company (not ostro) who can produce any design of bike frame that you want. The general concensus about the pursuit frame was that it was more stylish than functional (gussets for no obvious reason, a very tight rear triangle but dropouts that don't let the wheel close enough to take advantage of it, etc). I saw one in Dublin and it looked quite cool in a "post-apocalyptic industrial" kind of way.
Another option for cool, bare looking frames would be an XACD Ti frame - would cost about £300 delivered.
