Thanks 1bhp.
Its a Tommy Godwin 55.5x55.5 with Reynolds 531 and Campagnolo dropouts and fork tips. The wraparound seatstays are something of an english jewel and were very common on English built bikes, well so I've heard. With Tommy Godwin being a Birmingham rider/builder, I guess it would make sense.
Which stem were you referring to in the previous comment, the Thomson Elite or the Look Ergo?

interesting, how old's the frame?
not a big fan of the ergo I'm afraid, a nice nitto or similar would suit the sleek style, no? -

1bhp:v nice!
can't stop thinking about how i'm going to build it..
thinking i'm going to put a set of nitto b125s i have on it, white champ grips, with nitto stem and seat post, sugino 75s, white saddle (selle italia turbo?), white deep v's on gold tecs??
dreams..
I personally think that Deep Vs on that frame would be like wearing Nike Shox with a Saville Row Suit. Same for Goldtec hubs and (especially) the same for level hubs. I actually have deep rims and a goldtec hub on my bike, but I don't think it would look right on a 3 Rensho.
I would go for a slimmer track hub (Japanese if you want) instead of something chunky and some lower profile rims in silver. DA7600s are good looking hubs, if you want something new school and a bit different then maybe have a look at Gromada hubs (small or medium flange). If you can afford it then some low flange Phils from America might look nice. I'd go for open pros in silver with the stickers taken off or some velocity aeros.

NJS madness. Winner of the FixedGearGallery 2006
Go with NJS parts if you can especially with a sugoi rare sanrensho.

the level is a beaut,
I'm personally just a fan or mixing semi retro frames with a combination of authentic and newer bits,
its all subjective though -

I don't know, he could start by taking the label of the Mavic rim. He would've topped what he had in one go.
Lining up tyres logos to the valves... pimping.
I do it too, just sayin'.
Love that saddle though.

Hovis Brown:it's fancy, but it's oogly. now, what would Robin ride?

this is exactly what i was thinking about putting deepv's on it, the goldtecs are purely because they're amazing, and a lot cheaper than a set of phils, but DA7600s were my other thought with aeros, but going all NJS on wheels is bonkers, araya rims... i don't even know if you can get NJS approved clinchers

That is one sweet build, and quite a transformation from the original donor frame. You must be damn proud of it.

The frame is an polish pursuit frame. The gussets are pretty much decorative.

Here is mine. It is still a work in progress, but it is a Courtney frame (he is a small frame builder in Illinois), with S&S couplers and generic pretty much everything (Except for the cranks, which are Sugino), and the back wheel which was built at Brick Lane. Eventually wit will have red Phils laced to red wheels, which will probably be Velocity, and yellow tires (or tyres, if I buy them here). Not sure what I will do with the saddle yet, as I am not a fan (or better, my fanny ain't).
The spoke card is from the Faster Mustache 24 Hour Race, a relay alleycat style race in Atlanta that lasts for 24 hours. I am definitively doing it again this year, unless the Man tells me I have to work.
