TheBrick:Does anyone have any input on the Singo RD messenger cranks
http://www.hubjub.co.uk/sugino/sugino.htm
yes they are not purfect but £60 including a b.b is not bad.
yep, I run them.
hmmm..well, nice BB, but I had to take some serious meat off the arse of the LHD crankarm after I tightened them up again as it was biting into the edge of the BB cap. so it was on the grinding wheel and not very pretty.
that may have just been mine though..just seems a bit of poor shaping/design on the arm, the drive side is fine.
the ring is 44th and 1/8. it's not fantastic to be honest, but works. a tight fit so don't expect to be able to centre it if your tension is uneven. chainring bolts are made of cheese, I swapped them out for some proper SSteel
ok for £60 and they look allright, incidentally mine are genuine 165mm, not re-drilled 170s like hubjub shows (I did get them from there, Will is an excellent geezer) not sure why.
