I don't remember if I'd ID'd this or not but it's definitely in one of those JJJ sets I've been trying to piece together (Thief probs)

@Retro_Bastard You seen this guy's collection?
-
• #4506
Yeah I just mentioned him on your YouTube. I bet he's posted the Clarkee Dance Paradise techno time mix I'm looking for I can't find it. First tune on the B side I think with the MC chanting we want a we want rush right now Clarkee show them how. It doesn't really matter but it's still driving me mad

You'll probably like this mix then. System breakdown all good things really has that Elation bounce to it

Cheers added to Watch Later. Made the mistake of looking at Winters' video collection again and now feel compelled to listen to every single one.

Looks interesting, good to see the culture still going strong despite the authorities efforts to shut it down over the years.

I need to add "attend illegal UK rave" to my todo list.
-
• #4523
Likely I was there. I went to most other Helter Skelters around that time and always put in a solid shift in the Techno Room

It's not what I expected to be honest. I thought you lot were into breakbeaty happy hard and jungle, less so this banging/dark Dutch stuff and certainly not at this speed.

I'm just turning 46 so peak Hardcore 92-95 I was listening to but too young and by the time I started raving in 95 I had one good year then Hardcore started getting too cheesy so moved onto harder techno and Gabber for raving. Only Brisk and Druid were playing harder bouncy stuff down south and Druid was already on the turn getting involved in the Bonkers stuff. All the bouncy stuff was Scottish and Dutch DJ's at nights like Rezurection up in Scotland. I liked Jungle but not the scene in the mid-late 90's but had sussed it out but 2000/2001. Didn't get over to Holland and Belgium until 2001-2003 and stuck with the hard stuff for raving up until 2006. So for going raving with mates Dreamscape, Helter Skelter, Fusion, United Dance, Slammin vinyl, Origin and Tanzania was all that was going on. That sounds like a lot but it was all the same DJ's playing the same tunes just different venues so I did most of my actual raving to Producer,Scorpio and Clarkee whilst listening to everything but the really cheesy happy stuff. This kind of thing is absolutely peak for me and one of the only times I ever wish I was just a couple years older

Cheers will add to list.
