Are you still looking to sell this? I would be very interested.
(Sorry to hijack the thread)

There's a CXC on radavist with 6 bolt cog on the disc mount and problemsolvers 6 bolt adapter for the disc brake on the freehub body.

Yeah, I've got a 6-bolt sprocket on my fixed gear. I think it's a good way to go - cheap, plenty of wheels about, good braking, more future-proof, and you could put gears on one day if the frame has a derailleur hanger.
I don't have a rear disc but that's an interesting way to do it for sure...

So, is he using one of these, with a disk rotor in it for the rear brake?

Brake doesnt work rolling backwards i guess, which is of little concern but will still be odd. Must put a fair bit of force through the freehub when you grab it though.

That would be my guess.
On a fixed gear I imagine he would mainly use it as a sort of drag brake

Yeah, good point. Neat solution.

I initially didn't like the idea of putting that much force through a freehub, but realistically braking is probably not more torque than a hard start in a low gear (think wheelie). It might fail eventually but should be good for a few years I'd imagine

I've done both too although difficult to compare as I never had the capo set up as a road bike. Regret selling them both tbh

The same, it's a 53 apparently. I'd need the size up at the least

loved these so much when they came out. if there was one going in a 58 i'd love it

The 55 had a pretty long headtube, you could make the 53 work with a ~120 stem, it would also balance the relative heaviness of the frame.
-
• #541
Only 54cm effective top tube though. I ride a 120 on a 56. I'm not buying a 140mm...
-
• #542
54cm top tube is only an fsa slk away from 56.5
-
• #543
Haha saddle is fixed position. You can't fix reach by moving backwards

Willing to travel to France?

I would go and pick up a carbon 875 for Phil, but not this !
-
• #547
Don't think Phil rides carbon anymore.

I'll ride anything but gas pipe

It hasn't seen much use but this is my current road bike.
Old pic but do still need to chop the steerer

Get a Hektor and then you can complicate your life with the gates belt drive
I forgot the black giant omnium which has the best radness to speed to no-creak ratio. Micro has a few M/L for 350 which would be bang on your size
