Having been driven close to madness trying to keep my iMac 27 on the road as Mac's OS iterations disappear up the road, I'm now close to replacing it.
I'm looking at an iMac 24 or a Mac Mini with a proprietary monitor, eg LG UltraFine 32. Any thoughts?
It's imperative that I retain access to my Quadra remote drive and to my DVD reader. Both have standard USB plugs. How is this achieved?
Any recommended retail sources that accept their responsibilities when problems occur ?

Dongles/adapters/multi-port docks. Cheap and ubiquitous.
Buying direct from Apple is the path of least resistance, otherwise John Lewis with their '2-year guarantee', but I can't vouch for what that's actually worth.
