The term 'sex worker' has been adopted by people with an OnlyFans account. There are other alternatives to the term 'prostitute' but they're very wordy and haven't really caught on.

Not sure what point you're making here - do you think porn doesn't count as sex work or something?

No, I'm saying that sometimes the word 'prostitute' needs an inoffensive modern synonym. Have a look at the link, it's a good article.
