Where's good for coffee around Ladbroke Grove? I'd like to be able to work for about an hour or so. Can jump on a bike so about a 10 minute cycle from that area will do.

Lift coffee is really nice but Kensington - so probably not helpful. It’s just my only rec that side of town

Kuro looks good too but they don't appear to have any seating so maybe one for another time.

Inverse snobbery around coffee is so common these days that I appreciate a little pretence.

Snap, but having said that I loved the fact Hayley had a jar of MellowBirds on display for the old lady that came into The Window (Norwich) for her “Milky coffee”

I think she had a place in new buck or somewhere near, but that was a while ago. I’m not sure now.
I’m 99% sure Neil still works at UEA so she can’t be far…

Edit, you also have Bike Zone literally a few doors up which is/was Owned by Flavio Zappi. More of a food-oriented setup nowadays but good coffee still.

Great! New ground is probably the best of the best in Oxford (in my opinion)

She is back in Norwich now as we passed each other sometimes on the school run. She does occasional shifts at the Kofra on Bell Road as well.

Agreed! Met one of the founders last time I was in (Joel?) and he was very nice and chatty. Coffee is consistently tasty. Going to be my go to I think.

101 Coffee in Jericho was also nice actually.

could someone recco a decent machine (all in one fine) I can use at home to make a decent flat white that doesnt cost an arm and a leg?

They get a bit of a bad rap but the sage Barista Express is fairly bombproof.
