We hadn’t hung out much in the last few years due to life/distance and I’d never seen her socials before. I was genuinely mortified when I saw the shit she posted and felt betrayed somehow. During uni times she was my best friend in the world.I don’t know if it was a covid-era radicalisation like with a lot of folks who went down various rabbit holes.
Shit to lose a friend but last thing I need is someone like that in my life.

Or it just raised the curtain on the fact that just because a lot of people faced the same kind of bigotry and all fall under the LGBTQ+ label means they think the same or even like each other. Since before that label was a thing, some Ls have complained about misogyny from Gs, Bs have often felt looked down on by Ls and Gs, there was certainly argument about the addition (or even definition of) Q, and so on. A few years back, Glasgow Pride briefly banned drag queens from the event because some Ts said drag is transphobic, then reversed the decision when enough Gs said "This is an important part of our culture", while TERFs butted in to say "See? We've often said Drag is misogynist, but Trans allies only listen to people with penises".
Sometimes, when an issue becomes a big issue, you just find out things about the people around you that were always true.

Thank you for replying, as I wasn't sure here was the right place as it feels like an epic fail but not sure on my part as I haven't supplied sufficient peer reviewed studies or they have watched far too many YouTube videos and read bias studies that didn't pass simple review nevermind peer.
Understand where you are coming from and really don't get the hate. I have many opinions such as marriage is marriage the term gay marriage is abhorrent to me. It is marriage, and I'm a lapsed roman catholic. No capitals is my addition. Have greater issue with people are serial cheaters and claim to have religious family values.
Also has there been anytime, in history, where persecution of a group of people ever found to be right looking back in the future? Yes I'm still annoyed at the persecution of gays that led to what happened to Alan Turing. As one example.
