not pictured, but there was another bike on the next stand where the lock was through the frame but missed the stand entirely.

Ouch. Did that happen yesterday or today?
Make sure to report it to the council.
I think the most frequent cause of this sort of thing is lorry drivers turning or manoeuvring.

Thanks, that's odd—you'd think any large goods vehicle could be driven around here, but evidently not. (I'm quite ignorant about lorry driving, though.)
Or maybe it was a 'super lorry' (legal since 2023)?
