  • I think the Extractor fan hob fuse has blown because of the steam.

RCD has tripped, killing all kitchen sockets including fridge and freezer.

Fuse pull out is broken and snapped. Obviously can't get a replacement tonight.

    questions

    1. It's safe to prop a fuse in there with no plastic pull out isn't it?
    2. How can I confirm what is tripping? - it's something in the cooker area. But how do I determine if it's the extractor fan or the microwave or the oven?

I've achieved my main aim to get through the night and tomorrow with the fridge and freezer on but it would be good to know as I'm in the office tomorrow and the rest of the family will want to use the microwave and oven.

    Cheers.

  • Is the second photo how you found it? Because in that the RCD hasn't tripped but the overcurrent breaker has. Which would be consistent with the other fuse blowing.

Yes. Put some tape over it.

If you don't have tools, connecting them one by one is the only way.
