First ride on the Jibb v2 today, it’s got a lot more traction going up sharp technical climbs and squarer edged rocks that used to hook the rear wheel are now smoothed out and the bike rides over cleanly- coil is a definite win, and of course it looks much cooler.
The drop down in size also works better for the short, sharp switchbacks and technical climbs here- I cleared sections I almost always dab on, and the bike feels much more sure footed. It feels like my Madonna, in a way that my other Jibb never did, which is interesting.
It’s currently for the Madonna rear wheel whilst I wait for a 203mm centre lock MDR-P, as the frame came with that sized brake mount and the old one was 180, so once that arrives I’ll have matching wheels and tyres.
