I ordered a thermal base layer back in April to use a voucher up. I only noticed yesterday after it's been sat unworn since then that they'd sent me an XS labeled as a medium, rather than the medium I ordered. They've offered a refund despite being months outside of the return window and despite not having the original bag. Can't really complain about that!

At last, the long-awaited return of the world’s finest anti-friction cream for cyclists. With natural ingredients inspired by flora native to Mont Ventoux, it’s the perfect gift for any conoisseur of the road.

I don't care if Millar recruits her brother or anything else, her reign as CEO is already a success.**but they did mis-spell connoisseur, (double N)

I mean, tbf, the chamois cream they used to make was one of the best things they ever made, so if this is anywhere near as good I'm there

Does that mean you want to give back the cans I gave you and buy new?
-

I'm happy to donate one of the hot NEW tins to the Blackfoot bottom?
-
• #38688
nah no need, I had them for years and never used them, so don't now, when I'm no longer doing distance/club runs, and haven't put on lycra since the pandemic, I'd never get any use of them.

Rapha's repair service - is it worth sending a pair of bib tights in for repair where the chamois stitching has come away? I've read mixed reviews on repairs and turnaround and time...
-
• #38690
Everytime I’ve submitted a repair request for this they just offer a gift voucher instead.
-
• #38691
Cheers! Submitted a request but given I'm hoping to to get out over the next couple of weeks I ended up popping to the local alterations place which did it on the spot for a fiver.

I think the new Classic Seamless Knit is smashing. Don't really understand why you'd go to all that effort and only make 300 of them though. (Obvs I can guess, more an "I don't get".)

• #38693
Because that's how many they expect they can sell without running out immediately :)

Is the pro team insulated waterproof any good?
The pockets are quite a draw.
Or just got regular protean size up to get insulated gilet bags underneath?I need something larger and less fragile than my shakedry for SFAB

I’ve used a ProTeam insulated GoreTex waterproof quite extensively, it seems breathable enough to use even when the rain is intermittent (or just damp/misty). So I’ve tended to ride all day with it on… did the solstice 100 wearing it this year.
Thermal baselayer goes well under, with/without a thin long sleeve top depending on temperature.
Edited to say, the material doesn’t have much stretch, so a size up might be needed - ymmv.
Further edit : pockets are useful but quite shallow. -

Anyone else wearing white pro team shoes (the power weave ones)?
If so, cleaning tips are welcome 🙏
-
• #38698
Yes. My tip is to come to terms with the fact that you now own grey shoes

About ten years ago, following generally v positive reviews here, I bought the original pro team jacket. Haven’t had occasion to wear it much since, but did 100 miles in it today. It’s very good.
Straw poll, Albion or Rapha winter longs?
