Functional bikes would yield more results.This thread trends towards road bikes, which given the age will be lucky to fit 28mm.

There was a guu who put 650 wheels on his road bike can't remember his user name. But that was sick and allowed for bigger tyres and mudguards

Something like this would be very nice built up with new parts. This is a bike I almost bought before winning something else on eBay.

Does anyone own an MGOOF with mudguards, and/or a bike rack? I'm interested in building an old steel frame up into the ultimate commuter, was wondering if I could find some inspiration here
