Yeah it’ll be fine, though it might take up a bit more real estate. -
That kind of tool box is either blow or rotationally moulded and doesn't have much strength in just the one layer of plastic - the fasteners will tear through it quite easily. If you're thinking of using adhesives it is unlikely to work as the box is moulded from polyethylene or polypropylene and not much adheres to either of those.

Funny you ask this as I'm thinking about doing something similar in my motorcycle as a small storage compartment.

Has anyone ever simply screwed a tool box to the wall of their workshop? I was thinking of making something for my torque wrench set and then thought about just screwing it to the wall in its open position.
Am I missing something or is this genius?
