160 front, 140 rear is plenty
This.
But if you weigh a lot and want 180 then this is one potential solution, I am considering it for my gravel bike https://peak-torque.com/collections/road-tt
Disc brakes on a road bike - is 160mm enough?
When I last bought a road bike discs were not a thing.
I've always had discs on MTBs and always run dinner plates (I had 200mm on QR at some point and didn't die)
Eyeing up a new bike and 160 seems to be standard across the board.
Is it possible to add a spacer and run 180s? (at least up front)
Or is it unnecessary?
