I have never walked out on a film. I ran out of a cinema once, yes ran, the film was so scary. I was about 5 years old and film was the Wizard of Oz!
I once went to see the Draughtman's Contract at the Leeds Playhouse. They showed another Peter Greenaway film beforehand, and it was the most god awful tripe. I would have walked out, but I had the middle seat in the middle row of a packed out showing and don't want to cause a disruption, so I closed my eyes and refused to watch. The film ended, and in the interval people were queueing up to complain to manager and wantimg to know why he'd shown the film, A Journey Through H.
