Well, Andy, I'm afraid the Ostrogothic Kingdom and the Byzantine Empire do share a land border, and since it's quite hard to keep that pesky Belisarius bloke out of the West, a wall is eminently called for.

Yes, if rightists like Braverman wishes to go through life being permanently angry and pissed off they at least owe the rest of us a duty of care to ensure that they are in full possession of basic facts. Otherwise, it's just plain mendacity.

Braverman describing how Italy has built a wall on it's land border with Turkey to keep out migrants, and insisting she has seen it with her own eyes, is a great way to start the New Year.
Her desperation to try and stay in the news is so sad, the sooner she defects to reform the better. I'm almost sad she isn't my mp any more.
