Inspired by @Ordinata 's Lego entry in the Lego thread, I am inspired to build an EDF powered RC car.

Any thoughts on a production chassis I could use as a starting point? Any pitfalls* anyone can think of?

*one that comes to mind is how do I make it brake? Reverse thrust?

Are you going to base it on 'thrust' or something of your own design?

You could use a servo as a makeshift brake operator or a chute release? LoL

Looks like sheet aluminium cut out for the chassis.

Like the real deal, you could have a 'normal' chassis with motor (geared up) to take you up to speed and then engage the EDF which should in theory just assist the main motor? Allowing natural breaking once disengaged?
