And inspired by @Glws road going track bike i tried (and mostly disliked) joining the crosstop dork club. I haven't ridden it far enough or enough times to give it a fair appraisal but its fair to say i hate road bike pedals on fixed and a crosstop brake doesn't spark confidence or joy. I have watched quite a few 20 minute cartoons on the turbo on it (hence the large stack) but i suspect this will get pulled to bits shortly.
