  • Oh fucking hell! I hope you're not going to attempt it with a hangover!?

  • Hahaha, no, I know enough about it to know I shouldn't attempt it whilst delicate.

  • I went lowbrow and watched "Shannon Matthews the musical... the movie"

  • GladIIator was a nice flick for new years day. I liked the animated opening sequence especially. Sharks were ridleydiculous.

  • I wasn't overly impressed with Nosferatu. It looked great, but the story offered nothing new.
It was my first time at the Castle Cinema in Homerton though, so that made a nice change. :)

  • So a Noferatu for you?

    I liked it overall

  • A 6/10 for me. If I'd never seen any other versions I would have enjoyed it more.
One couple walked out halfway through while I was there. 😂

  • I saw 2073 last night and an Indian family walked out after 20 mins, my guess is it was because they didn’t appreciate what was being said about Modi, but it could equally have been because the film was disappointing. It had the feel of one of those YouTube conspiracy theory pieces.

I left wishing I’d seen Nosferatu instead.

  • I think I've only ever walked out of one film, and I can't even remember what it was.😀

  • I've walked out of loads over the years!

  • My problem these days seems to be staying awake.

  • Pleasantly surprised by Lee.

Watched tonight as a sort of comedown after the season of goodwill. Really enjoyed it. Thought it told her story well and made me care about all the characters. A story that needed telling and good on Kate Winslet for sticking with it for so long.

  • The Substance: quite an achievement by cast and crew. I wonder whether American audiences will engage with the feminist message? I'm not sure many men want to be lectured about how to value the perfect pubescent gusset. I'm reminded of the Sophie Rain saga: a curvy teenager has made $43m on OnlyFans without taking her clothes off. One man has spent over $4m in a year. https://people.com/onlyfans-model-made-43-million-last-year-to-her-it-doesnt-conflict-with-christian-values-exclusive-8758383

  • Very happy we went for Holdovers to see us out of 2024. Probably improved by the fact i was having a nice night in but i genuinely loved every scene.

Double billed with Talk to me the Australian horror i'd wanted to see for a while. A strong start but this one fell flat on it's face as soon as the edgy cool kids took over. Not boring so 5 out of 10 for me.

I watched very few new films in 2024 so can only nominate Rebel Ridge and Axel F as my most enjoyed and Carry on and Deadpool as my least favourite. Some good lists here but most keen to see Love lies bleeding and The Last Stop in Yuma County.

  • I walked out of a film about the Krays when they put a sword through a man's hand into the pocket of a snooker table. I had the sudden thought that this was probably a real incident, and glamorising it with some bloke out of Spandau Ballet....no.

  • And yet, it was still better than the Tom Hardy version!

  • ...are you actually serious

  • i really wanted to walk out of the Chronicles of Riddick but i was at the end of a row next to the wall and couldn't face the awkwardness

  • I walked out of Any Given Sunday back in the late 90s because it was shite.

Flounced during Pearl Harbor (Cuba Gooding Jr one) as I had a train to catch.
Not really sure why I went in really.

  • I walked out of apocalypse now redux. Worst seat in the cramped house, row 1 far right.

  • I fell asleep in the cinema watching Waking Ned

  • I went to the red carpet premiere of this at UCI Leicester Square.
Free beers were nice, sat for 3 hours needing a piss not so nice.
After party in a dingy club round the corner was fun enough, rinsed the free bar, missed the last DLR and got stranded in Canning Town, bus heading vaguely in the right direction had a hero of a driver, asked me where I was heading to and said it wasn't much of a detour and he would drop me off.
Even came down the bus to wake me up when we got to Beckton (my final destination that night)

Film was less memorable than the rest of the story.

  • Never walked out of a film apart from when taking the kids and my son thought it was too scary and wanted to leave.

Closest I came was when a group of us went to see Lost in Space, quite possibly the worst film ever made.

  • I walked out of a relationship to watch a film, once. I didn't actually care what was showing but it was Boogie Nights so that was a win.

  • I have never walked out on a film. I ran out of a cinema once, yes ran, the film was so scary. I was about 5 years old and film was the Wizard of Oz!

I once went to see the Draughtman's Contract at the Leeds Playhouse. They showed another Peter Greenaway film beforehand, and it was the most god awful tripe. I would have walked out, but I had the middle seat in the middle row of a packed out showing and don't want to cause a disruption, so I closed my eyes and refused to watch. The film ended, and in the interval people were queueing up to complain to manager and wantimg to know why he'd shown the film, A Journey Through H.
