Off to Water Into Beer in Brockley, they have a late licensed for new year and you can walk up Telegraph Hill nearby to see the fireworks. Although we'll be going home to make sure the cat is in before they go off.

I’m in a quiet bar before 2 billion firecrackers are let off this could be any festival night. Viet nam is bonkers generally. I fit in perfectly, the Viet peoples will be doing it all again for Lunar New Year end of January so thus evening is just a countdown until then..

I’ve burnt alot of fake money and incense sticks for the altar table at hotel.. ate loads of crabmeat Pho noodles.. bought a fake Chanel 2.2 handbag for shits and giggles.. bought a pair of fighting unicorns just because.. lacquered some shells, painted a conical hat..

Was in Na Trang for NYE in 2012, it was indeed crazy, especially as I don't really celebrate it myself. Was in a bar that night, but spent some of it reading a book and chatting to one of the bar maids.

Hahaha yep.. it’s actually my birthday tomorrow.. NYD I’ve got used to not really celebrating until everyone is

Happy new year gang! And happy birthday to KatBalou and Almac.

My 2023 new year was rowdy enough for a couple of years so I'm celebrating by drinking between 3 and 4 beers and catching up on a couple of films I missed this year.
My yearly mileage for 2024 was absolutely dismal so I'm hoping to get out for a ride tomorrow morning to get the ball rolling on 2025. Hopefully the 12% imperial stout I have lined up doesn't scupper that plan.

Happy birthday! It's my youngest's birthday today, too. I'm going to suggest the fireworks are for her (although she'll be mainly concerned they are frightening the pets).
