It's a shame when great players, and he was, find out they can't shape a team like they shaped games.
I hope he gets into coaching.
In my head he'd be great as the type of coach who'd roll his eyes when the manager was talking about "transitions and patterns" and then in a training drill say "look, when the ball comes to you here, take this shape, do this, and put your foot through it here. watch this"
and then welly it in from an impossible angle. before saying "see? simple"Hoddle in a nutshell, by all accounts.
