I also thought Gladiator 2 was poor. My wife, who is usually a tough crowd, loved it because it had Paul Mescal in and he can do no wrong in her eyes.
I thought he was a poor choice as well but then the whole film was so bad I fell asleep and don't actually know how it ends.
