Just mentioned somewhere else - how about Chicago Screws
-

Maybe itβs because I work with school students who could strip/round out anything, but I have an irrational fear of these flathead screws

These are not far off. Flange nut still ultimately more secure and foolproof though. Personally a nicely machined open face chamfered nut > dome nut but thats just me

After shipping ^ tomorrow I should be able to get on with my daily ride. Today I managed to machine a nice stainless bit so I could fit my new flag to our trailer and tomorrow I will clean the bike and fit my new framebag and then snap some photos. Again, thanks @Tijmen for your incredible work!

The mudguard braze-on down by the BB, slightly protruding outwards, is a nice touch! Is this because of longer chainstays? Or educated guess regarding where the guards would go?
-
• #9617
Well, it is mostly because I wanted the bosses to be equal distance from the tyres and the crimped chainstays mean an uneven surface where there bridge is supposed to be for the boss to not be protruding. Not sure if I am completely convinced this is the best solution ever. I looks a bit unconventional
-
• #9618
Unconventional for sure, but the slight bottle-neck effect of the boss is cool. Seems to match the curvature on the front mech hanger and the joins between TT/ST anyway, at least to my eyes.

This looks great!

Fuck convention! It looks great, much better than having to use spacers.
Has to be same height as a m5 socket head to work.
