Have you considered developing the plot for Hollywood?
I'm keen for more of these kind of stories. Sheep rustling in Crummackdale. A stolen gate in Drumcliffe. A party wall dispute in Llanberis.

They are on bail and theres a court interdict in place preventing them from interfering with the railway or its workers.
With the many deep holes they have voluntarily dug, they will need a bigger bucket than the gofundme to bail those out.
The couple brought a case against the previous owners of the property. Because the incompetent idiots didn't turn up to the hearing, they lost the case. After being awarded costs the previous owners were still waiting payment after 18 months

Hello t-v - there is no need, the plot on our doorsteps that is unraveling in real-time is enough ‘entertainment’ anyone would need! Thanks.

Hello Neil, Do not forget to mention the separate ee interdict as well. That makes a total of two interdicts at the same time! Some achievement by anyone’s standards. Thanks.

Hello bigshape - we do our best! If you get pangs of any more boredom I advise you could take a look on YouTube - search Altnabreac Station Access Dispute. Any questions - ask away! Thanks.

AI says:
Altnabreac railway station, situated in a remote area of Caithness,
Scotland, has been at the center of an access dispute that led to its
temporary closure in November 2023. The conflict arose between the
station's neighboring residents and railway authorities, primarily
over access rights for maintenance work. Background
In 2021, Ian Appleby and Liz Howe purchased the property adjacent to
Altnabreac station. Subsequently, disputes emerged regarding access to
the station for essential maintenance. ScotRail reported being unable
to perform critical upkeep due to safety concerns stemming from
restricted access, leading to the station's closure to passengers on
November 12, 2023.Developments
In October 2023, Ian Appleby was arrested for allegedly obstructing
railway operations, though the case was later dropped due to
insufficient evidence. The couple denied allegations of obstructing
access, asserting that they were being unfairly targeted.Efforts to resolve the dispute included plans to construct an
alternative footpath to allow railway staff access without crossing
the couple's property. By August 2024, reports indicated that the
station was expected to reopen following the completion of the new
access route and necessary maintenance.Current Status
As of December 2024, Altnabreac station has reopened, and services
have resumed. The resolution of the access dispute has restored this
remote station's connectivity, benefiting both local residents and
visitors to the area. -

Hello rhb - Having checked on the National Rail website minutes ago - they are still reporting that the station remains closed. Any thoughts please? Thanks.
-
• #137
Seems like AI pulled the last fact out of nowhere as you can't get a ticket to the station.
Chances are unlikely for it to reopen, before Jan 9th at the very earliest. As that's the next scheduled court date.
The Station would then require all the damage to be repaired and the "request to stop" upgrades installed as planned.

Any thoughts please?
I think:

Is spot on.

Hello rhb - thanks for clarifying and confirming the AI error. No, the status quo remains - NO TRAINS ARE STOPPING AT ALTNABREAC STATION - in other words it is closed for business, and I would have thought that the possibility of the station reopening any time soon is not really going to happen. The Court case(s) would require to come to decision(s) re legal access, and the there is the long-overdue maintenance of the station platform and the request stop upgrade to take place. Thanks.

Something was said somewhere,, this
There's quite a lot of people whom initially supported the couple in principle and tried to help. But unearthed more questions and evidence proving most of the mess is self inflicted.
Several people think it's all a scam, trying to con people and ransom the affected companies.
It's not so much a scam or even narcissistic postures just an invasion.. like, and as what happens with dwelling development everywhere and within sight of where we all are, I imagine
Just this has cojones -

Hello bluehew - Thanks for posting - I acknowledge that the pasted extract in italics is clear enough, however I am unclear of the point you are making, can you help me by providing a few more bits of information please? Thanks.

Yeah,
Hello, I have been watching the thread on the forum, and I have to say, for what it is worth, I take great exception to to style and content of your recent comments. If you have no time for the Altnabreac issues, then just say nothing, and keep your thoughts to yourself. Thanks!
Was this your first comment? Just to clear my head?
