Great stuff, sea-level, many thanks! Having more tech heads on board will be great.

CIC registration process is easier and quicker than a charity registration from my experience and for us time is a factor.
There's absolutely no point in pursuing charity registration here, anyway. People go for charitable status because they want to fundraise, as many grant-giving bodies have a bias towards charities. We don't need that at all.

I probably should put my name down, though don't know in what capacity yet because legalities. There's too many threads on this now. Is this thread working on the assumption that the forum will remain UK-based and require UK company structure, etc? What about the ship it overseas option and the potentially different legal requirements with that option? ie. UnBrexit the forum

Not sure why.
Life got in the way

That's the 'lfgss collective' thread though the location issue isn't the main issue, it's the liability, location may be a solution.
Edit: just seen this

Shall we firm this up and pick a date and time to hold a Zoom (?) meeting?
So; ideas, what about January 1st, sometime in the afternoon? lots of people home off work?
Or perhaps the first Saturday of the new year. Or early in the first week.
My point here is we take and make decisions and make a start to this. An actual firm start date, time and let us begin ASAP!

I'm meeting couple of people who've contributed on here irl on 3rd to explore some ideas and possibly plan an online meeting.
Agree we need to act swiftly. So we'll suggest a date early Jan for an online meeting with those who've expressed an interest in a role in this and the lfgss collective thread.

Not sure where we're organising this get-together but keen to pitch in and will come along to an IRL discussion if London-based.

Ok so have reviewed firms guidance on outside assignments and I'll just need internal sign off. I could be treasurer but possibly better not to start with. Can help on the finance side though.

Nope. All are planning to move on.
Only Pignole Fixe is an exception, they like the software and don't see why they need to comply given it's all french
-
• #65
So if we all move to pignole fixed then the problems sloved
-
• #66
Or if we all become French then the problems solved.
