Not a great start, up at 6 for an early ride and met with thick drizzle, so sacked it off for a tea.. maybe this afternoon...

Best of luck to everyone starting today 🤘I hope everyone achieves what they want!

I’ve completed this since it began with out too many issues. This year hasn’t been great on the bike, a broken arm in May and developing an autoimmune disease has really killed my mileage. I expect it to be a proper challenge this year,
Anyway I’m ahead of the game just with 82 kms this morning.

A surprise overnighter in the hospital with one of the kids means I wasn’t able to do the 120km to Suffolk this morning and now won’t do the ride back/have a bike available until the 29th so looking impossible this year. Good luck to all of you doing it this year, weather isn’t looking too bad

Hope your little one’s feeling better.
115k ticked off today in a blustery, but mild jaunt down to Severn Beach. Now for a mince pie

150 km on Christmas Eve and 50 km today. The no rain forecast is as annoying as the permanent muzzle / cloud , warm but soaking.
Possibly day off tomorrow or 50km if bored in the afternoon. -

Starting tomorrow 😂

Same here. 2 days of family obligations, looking forward to hours of drizzle the coming days.

168km first day, rest my ruined legs today (pacey club ride with a few sprints did me right in after 2 weekend rides).
Hopefully knock out 100+ tomorrow and the day after... Then it's just plain sailing.... Right? Right?

154 commuting home on 24th, planning on a nip into the South Downs, a lap of the Isle of Wight (Can you get bikes on the hovercraft? I’d love to get the hovercraft) and another commute back to London. Forecast looks soft in the south, Lots of fog and lots of 7°–9°

(Can you get bikes on the hovercraft? I’d love to get the hovercraft)
Bikes are free of charge on most crossings (some of the rush hour ones don't allow them).

posting here because this seems like a good place to catch the attention of keen winter riders. I need to be in Amsterdam early January, ideally 3rd or before, and was planning on riding from london. I’m thinking going via Dieppe but have done it via Harwich too. Anyone want to accompany me? Aiming—wind/ice/viral infection depending— on going at a decent pace. I can offer somewhere to crash in a nice part of amsterdam before you head home and I have to work. I would recommend going home whichever way we didn’t go on the way out

It felt like there were more cars inside the park today that the surrounding suburban areas. Better riding to be had if you head out a bit and pick quiet roads.
Fixed as well for me, again the weather here in S Wales looks good.
Hopefully 150 km today to kick start it........
