Can this title have Freecycle added to the title please https://www.lfgss.com/conversations/400727/ as I can't seemed to be able to.
Thank you

Yes
-
• #20031
I can't seemed to be able to.
You can, via the "Edit conversation" button
-

Thank you
@gbj_tester not on brave browser on an android phone. Edit conversation just alters the text body of the post. Then just save changes
-
• #20033
The Edit button at the bottom right of a post will edit the text body.
You'll find the Edit Conversation button under the 3-dot menu in the top right of the screen, it'll take you to a new page which will allow you to rename your thread.
(Unless Brave really has broken that functionality, in which case my apologies).

they haven't posted yet, but do report them if they do.
-
• #20036
I mean... if they post spam... not if they post.
-
• #20037
Just banned the spammers, who both had similar garbage email addresses.
The one that you point out above, that has a real looking email address.

Cool cool

• #20039
They're now claiming that they have another account and logged in as a new user. No idea if true.
-
• #20040
I cleared my Safari history etc this morning which logged me out of this site. I noticed I could still see the whole of the site when logged out. Is that correct? I thought quite a lot of the site had been hidden from view unless logged in.
-
• #20041
No, Velocio changed that back to help with site archiving.
-
• #20042
Ah ok, that makes sense.
-
• #20043
Was there any announcement about what was being opened up to the entire Internet and archives?
Edit: as for example people may have wished to review potentially personally identifying information they have posted, in areas of this site which they expected to remain available to members.
Edit 2: should we expect all content, including PMs, may become globally accessible/archived?

should we expect all content, including PMs, may become globally accessible/archived?
I expect that would open up the possibility of action under the misuse of private information where there is an expectation of privacy so I wouldn't think so
But it is a bit disappointing that members only areas are now public if that's the case -
• #20045
It's more than 'disappointing'.
I have an expectation that posts I have made in non-public areas of the forum are not made public.
The privacy policy makes it clear posts are considered personal information:
We describe the categories of personal information we collect in more detail below:
...
Comments and opinions: such as comments and opinions you leave on the forumand then describes where they will be made available:
How we use your information
We will also use your personal information for the purposes specifically described below:
...
Comments and opinions: we will display your public comments, opinions and responses on the public areas of the forum. We will not publicly display your private messages or private interactions with us or another user.--
Edit follows:
It then goes on to say:
Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time and so you should review this policy periodically. When we change this privacy policy in a material way, we will update the "last modified" date at the bottom of this privacy policy. Changes to this privacy policy are effective when they are posted on this page. But there have been no updates, more recently than one 10 years ago, as far as I can see.
I'm now spending part of Christmas Day removing information about me that I never intended to be public. It's already been made public, of course, and may well have been compiled into archives.
-
• #20046
Well yeah, I agree

When you put something on the internet, it's there forever for everybody. You already published to thousands of unvetted registered users, three random people who bother to follow a link on the fourth page of search results seeing it too is hardly the end of the world.

Hey, it’s given them a sense of purpose on the birthday of baby jebus other than stuffing their face. God’s work.
-
• #20049
Were any parts of the forum expressly said to be private, except the bits which have names and descriptions indicating such and which still look as if they are private?
-
• #20050
I think the members only section is still private, I can't see it if I log out.
Thank you @velocio, like putting down an injured animal, it's the right thing to do
