Starting the year off with rehoming a cat. Picking her up on Saturday
Was really hard because they also had a 13 year old sweetheart who happened to be in May's old cage at the shelter - but not sure we can go with any potential pain. Petplan quote just now also wouldn't offer any ongoing care due to her age

Sounds tough, and the right thing to do if you don't think you can provide for her.
Just in case anyone else is reading this and considering an older cat. Our experience of adopting several older cats (oldest was 18) from cats protection, is that Petplan will insure them after the initial free 1 months cover, but that typically only covers 75% of any costs and premiums can be punchy.

I think with what we went through, not sure we can do that again without some form of cover - quote for short term was Β£38 a month for Β£3000 of cover over the year
Anyway, girl we're taking is 3 years old who's been there for a year and not seen many people due to where she is in the building. No health issues, chilled cat.

Urban Tigger, demanding ear rubs and cuddles. Also a quite violent tail pull or that you play bongos on his tummy..at a level that makes a hollow noise.
I worry that I'm hurting him, but he purrs so loudly. If you don't do these things right or not hard enough he meows at you.

Cute and adorable, how are the offspring taking to him? Him to them?
Also I love him, he is not a moron, he is keeping you entertained....and making sure his unlcked ring is marking your laundry.

You utter rotten, how very dare you!
My two are going through a phase of no longer demanding wet food at 5 onwards when first breakfast is at 6.30 now this has changed to 10! Cos sleepy cats are asleep.
Or I'm being controlled by my furry overlord's.

Ours gets 4x small meals per day- 2x wet, 2x dry. Her internal body clock is accurate to within 5mins. Itβs pretty impressive actually.

Are you new to cats ;) cat body clocks are interesting to me as I lived in a farm with semi ferals, and they would know when we got back from school and those that wanted fuss came to us and those that wanted food came when we fed them every few days.
He's like that 90% of time π
