I think I read the older 70s Ofmega stuff had slightly different taper, but the later 80s and onwards stuff like this Mistral is standard ISO fit.

Nice nice build!

Decided to take the plunge and buy a polished Litespeed Classic (in lieu of a Look KG292 in the right size). Chorus/Record 10 speed, Proton wheels and Nitto finishing kit.
Temp pedals and saddle (probably).

Dunno, only finished it last night, it's pissing down and strong winds forecast for the next few days up here.

Great, that gives you time to source and fit a cinelli grammo ahead stem. And make beter pics ffs.
All jokes aside, very jealous, stunning bike! -

Can chain wrap issues cause slipping? This is a 10-46t Garbaruk 11 speed, xt mech and 42t front. Brand new chain but I get slipping in cogs 2-5ish. Tried undoing the b screw but then it rubs when in the 10/11 cogs. Cassette looks fine and not worn out

Could do with a few more links on that chain imo.

In my experience that's not something your eye can be the judge of.
But what Josh said, chain do with an extra link or two. -

It'll encourage the guide jockey wheel to scoot a bit further under the cassette, meaning more engagement. :)

Hmm it was a bit of a bargain off here. Maybe there was a reason for it...
This was the whole chain! I didn't remove any links. Anyone got a couple spare links for a KMC X11?

A build thread for this would be lovely to follow!

Not a bent hanger?

Pretty happy with how this functional build for my gf has turned out. The Dia Compe fenders were a headache, so replaced the struts with PDW ones which instantly made them way more solid and easier to fine tune

Edit: no dice, sorry!

The site hasn't even shut down yet and this abomination has gone on my bike. Where will I end up when all aesthetic accountability has gone??

This old 650b gravel frame is getting a rust treatment.
Wet sandpaper in a bit and then shooting some matt clear and then about a bucket of linseed oil into the frame itself.
Dressing it up in parts bin parts. Would need a ZS44/30 lower hs cup though to fit the straight steerer fork. Had a tapered fork in its former life.

Attempt three of a vintage mtb. Had a Kona that rode nicely but lacked clearance and was too long. Tried a GT for the triple triangle but the u-brake prevented mudguards and it was heavy and rode kind of shit (I overplayed…it did not have joy attached).
So then this came up as a frame only. Bingo. Time to match my partners (nicer) rockhopper. I still need to shorten the cables and solve the rear brake conundrum - run a canti and mismatched levers or…something.

Looks like you’d need to shorten the chain or use a tensioner as well, that looks too track slacky. Other than that it looks like a fun bike
Awesome, glad it turned out well, you crazy axle!
