Oh fuck, how did I miss this? I met Hayley many years ago up here when I sorted their bike out in our little workshop under Manchester rapha, we clocked a bit of shared LFGSS vibes so I sorted bikes out on the cheap. Always happy to see her bossing it from afar on here and certainly taken some of her writing on various subjects to heart to inform myself better.
Really gutting, what an absolute hero. -

Damn that is so sad. I loved reading her thread she was a real inspiration, and absolutely hilarious too. Some of her longer pieces were so open and showed real vulnerability, such a rare thing. RIP Hayley.

Sorry its taken a while to digest this terrible news and pay respects. I met Hayley a few times when she lived in Bracknell. She came over to mine to sort a few bike things several times. The first time was early after the pandemic so we stood out side my garage spannering away wearing masks in clean air. She adored my then staffy pup, and enjoyed chasing her round the garden to retrieve her stolen shoes, so she is a part of that dog. I got to see the legendary Homer bike IRL as well!
I moved to Scotland and Haley to London, but we stayed in touch, chattering away on the messages here. Hayley always gave me stickers. They got everywhere. I saw one on the garage floor up here in Scotland the other day and it made me smile.

burned so very very brightly. -

So so sad. I always enjoyed reading her posts particularly about politics, she seemed like a kindred spirit, rest in peace Hayley.

Rest in peace, Maj. Like so many here, your humour and writings always put a smile on my face. We didn't interact personally but your personality and wit stood out clearly here. It was always a pleasure to read your thread and posts.

Such a lovely down to earth person

Had no idea you were a care tagger. There is at least one other on here, maybe more...
