Dartmoor exploration by Carrier would be sick but my youngest has a medical appointment in the early afternoon tomorrow so aiming to be home by noon to bake cakes with the eldest, let's see. Hoping to get a couple of rides in over Christmas though, miss off roading having sold the Hog about six months ago to part fund this. The Ridgeway is probably dicey af right now though.

Just to let you know that I gorilla taped my 29+ rabbit hole rims and set them up tubeless with no faff at all using only a track pump.

Don’t want to miss the first pictures of this post.
Those are really nice bikes! -

Ah, pity. To be honest, off-road riding lately just seems like too much of a chore - and that's without the family and kids. Maybe once this terrible weather has calmed down a tad.
All the joy to you anyway :) -

And here it is, the Carrier*!
Collected early this morning after an eternity on the M5. No traffic, just mind-numbing. Arrived typically early so had a nice flat white from a coffee shop with strangely soft flooring on the high street. Next stop was the bakery, picked up two “unicorn slices” for the kids and a caramel shortbread for my wife. Feeling slightly less zombified, I made my way over to Pi’s workshop for 9am. Tried and failed miserably to play it cool when I caught sight of the Carrier leaning against the workshop bench in the morning sunlight. Silver hope hydros twinkling like a signet ring on the fist of a GB News enjoyer. Found myself describing it as “sick” and “lush”? Clearly a visceral response. The reach felt dialled from a brief spin around the forecourt, more thoughts to follow after I get acquainted with it.
*or the lengths some people will go to avoid panniers according to one convivial forum goer…
So chuffed, can’t believe it’s mine.

That is really, really nice.
Think it looks so good without any brand / style touches etc and just a neat colour.

Lovely. Only the rear mech offends ;)

Those mudguards although very well fitted don’t look like they have a lot of space for mud? Or are you planning on ridding it mostly on road?

Great stuff, the rear rack with the struts with anything mount and light mount looks brilliant! I hope the panniers arrive soon. Please never use them to remain a True Bikepacker and show those stupid luddites they're good for nothing.

Thanks everyone for your lovely comments. Maiden voyage this morning, 15kms of prime grubby B road. Ride’s nice, nothing fell off and no weird noises! The saddle nose is too high but fit is otherwise dialled. Will park any bar swap ideas for now. 27psi feels quite firm, might drop it a bit.

Spot on. The current setup is mainly for roads and canal paths. I have a pair of 2.4” tyres for the three days in the summer when it doesn’t rain.

Nice. Reminds me a lot of the Appaloosa - apols I’d this has already been mentioned / on the moodboard.

Excited for them Tijmen. Don’t worry, I’ll use them at most for one overnighter a year during which I’ll think to myself “this really isn’t as fun as they make out on the Radavist” like any self respecting custom bicycle owner.
