As Jonathan said, dial the counterweight forward till you dont get the issue. Also, if there's adjustable height, increasing that can help a bit as well. When I did scratching and all that stuff, I'd have the weights flipped round, right forward, and the height maxed out. Amazed I didnt wear the grooves through to the other side! :-D
