TK Maxx website is full of Folk stuff including loads of over shirts.
So much stuff on there that it seems a bit curious.

That looks a bit dodgy. Don't Folk do sizing in 1, 2, 3 etc?
And the fabric looks well off on those jackets:
Shell: 100% Polyester
Lining: 85% Polyester, 15% CottonI'm not familiar with them, but can TKMaxx do fakes?
-
• #6159
Not fakes. But manufactures often do specific straight to tkmaxx lines to provide low end distro without devaluing the core brand.
Which jacket are you talking about?

I've bought a few folk items from TK Maxx and they come with the normal sizing (1,2,3 etc) and packaging, seems the same quality as everything I've bought direct from them tbh

This one, but a few of them are similar fabric composition:

Yeah. That seems unlikely. Shit listing maybe?
-
• #6163
I'd be sorely tempted by this one if it was definitely a real Folk:
https://www.tkmaxx.com/uk/en/men/edits/mens-layering/navy-quilted-overshirt/p/47569686Only ÂŁ40! But the spec and photos make me think it's going to feel cheap and polyester-ey

Yeah, same in store, number sizing on garments but they still go onto S M L hangars etc. Same with all euro sized stuff.
ETA: (Which has to be better than places where you have to set every possibility of size in order to filter by appropriate)

I still love digging in the rails of a TK, found some Warehouse & Co loopwheel sweatshirts not long ago…

I've got this one to collect
https://www.tkmaxx.com/uk/en/men/edits/mens-layering/navy-casual-overshirt/p/47591331Very much suspect I won't keep it due to not having tried it on or seen it in the flesh but click and collect is free if you buy a few things and returns are free so thought I may as well.

I've got some Dickies trousers that have started to come a bit loose at the seam in the arse region. Is that something the dry cleaner round the corner from me can sort out or is it worth venturing further afield?

judge the garment by its merits, not the label
It's a really good tip.
Years ago I got some great work merino jumpers from one of those faux old school English brands - Savoy something or other. Unfortunately they were shrunk into wife jumpers. But the point stands.

If people want white summer trainers there seemed to be quite a lot of Fred Perry ones cheap. Also found these beauties for my miami outfit. But unfortunately I wasn't willing to spend that much on novelty shoes.

Thanks again everyone for your help.
Hilariously though, everyone else went in evening wear. Probably only 10 people (including ladies) dressing to the theme.
Will definitely play it safe with a DJ next year if I go.

What industry if you don't mind me asking?
-
• #6173
I've had some folk stuff from tkmaxx that has been fine, I think it's weirder there's no mention of working conditions or even where things are made at that price point.
-
• #6174
Just seen a thing on instagram and if you look at the price label code and anything ending in 1 is made for TK-Maxx and anything ending in 2 isn’t.

What size do you wear? I have a warm, grey Folk shirt that I bought (secondhand) and have never worn because I decided it's not really my thing. I'd let it go for cheap. If you're a small/smaller medium and it sounds appealing I can dig it out and get some photos.
