a little bump for this thread - Do I have any (relatively cheap) options to run sub compact (46-30) on rotor 3d+ cranks? Or am I better off buying new cranks

Rotor do 46/30 rings no? They come up second hand sometimes. On eBay atm but direct mount - assume they won’t fit on 3d+

Yes but I wasn't talking about that, I was talking about where fredtc had asked the same question the other day. It was the Mechanics AQA thread though not the Powermeter thread.

You put me onto them in the FS thread but I couldn't remember their name.

I might always be right. But that certainly doesn't mean I know everything. :-*

Took my Sugino 601D off for a clean and NDS is cracked by the pinch bolt. Is this a standard Shimano type axle or proprietary Sugino splines? I wouldn't be massively fussed about odd cranks if I can find a cheap left crank, but I think finding a matching Sugino one will be pretty much impossible.

Or a 130bcd external BB triple using middle and inner. Middle can go down to 39t
