No way? Surely they wouldn’t manufacture a convenient feel good story like that? I haven’t actually watched it but I’m sure it was a perfectly legitimate race and Cav won fair and square because he is, as the thread title says, the best ever cyclist ever.

MC made it Wapha's 'Panache' round up. I saw this pic that they used from his 35th TdF stage win.
It appears that his chain was too slack...

That's a regular occurrence. A rider is sprinting all out pushing huge watts, then stops and sits up, there's a lot of energy still in that drivetrain and it derails the chain.
